Moore Park Tigers
Country / Gadigal
Working in conjunction with the AFL and Centennial Parklands Trust, this scheme for a new facility was part of a funding application from the state and federal governments.
Proposal 2019
On a prominent location in Moore Park at the edge of South Dowling Street, the facility replaces a poorly sited amenities building with a new and enlarged building providing change rooms and bathrooms for boys and girls, as well as club facilities. The building nestles into an existing topographic rise, reinstating and reinforcing natural desire lines from the North, from the North-West and to the South of the facility. The facility appears as a landscaped roof from the key viewing point on (the grandiosely named) Mount Steel, with sculptural light canons reaching up through gardens.
